“Determine the RIGHT Kind of Knowledge For Your Top Home Business?”

You might be wondering what I mean by the "right" kind of knowledge? For this hub, let’s just say there are two kinds of knowledge -- general and specialized.

General knowledge is just that -- general. And no matter how much of it you have, it will not be as useful to you as specialized knowledge would be for earning money in your at home based business.

And knowledge, in and of itself -- specialized or not, will not attract money unless it is organized and directed with practical plans of action. Again -- back to the plan, back to action.

For this process, you must have your home based small business goals and plans in place, then determine and organize your specialized knowledge and then direct each toward the attainment of your goals! In most cases, when you're starting your new work from home company your goal will be two things:

(1) Provide an outstanding product or service in which people find value and

(2) Earn money in the exchange of that value.

The old saying "knowledge is power" is only partially correct. Knowledge is only power when it is organized toward a definite goal or purpose.

A story is told about the late Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Automotive. During the first World War, a Chicago newspaper published an editorial which referred to Ford as "an ignorant pacifist." The statement so incensed Mr. Ford that he brought charges against the paper and sued them for libel.

Interestingly, the case was brought to court and the attorney for the newspaper put Mr. Ford on the stand to ask him questions of a general nature that were intended to prove his ignorance. The line of questioning was right out of a history book,

"Who was Benedict Arnold?"

"How many soldiers did the British send to quash the American Revolution,"

and on and on.

Finally, Mr. Ford had reached the end of his patience and declared, "I have hundreds of men working for me in which dozens of them could answer all of these questions. If I ever needed to know the answers, I could push any number of the 25 buttons on my desk and have the answer within moments. What I know about is automobiles and how to make money. Why on earth, would I want to clutter my brain with general information for which I have no use?"

The courtroom immediately knew this was the answer of an educated man, as educated men know how to get the information they need when they need it. Henry Ford had specialized knowledge that enabled him to be one of the most successful men in the country at the time.

I think you'll agree if we look for examples a little closer to home you might think of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates -- both with MUCH specific knowledge. The list gets pretty long when you start ticking it down, but the point is this:

If you've got specialized knowledge (and you do), and you have a plan to use it, (you should), then you take action on your plan with your specialized knowledge, (you can), you will be successful with your top home based business even if your desire is to just earn extra money from home.
